Always bring multiple wardrobe options that fit the notes for your category.
Come with your hair and makeup styled appropriately for your role.
PERPETRATORS / SUSPECTS
Create a character: Think about why you’re at the station — are you a petty thief, a white-collar criminal, a gang member, a club goer caught with drugs, a dirty beach bum, or someone wrongly accused? Let your wardrobe reflect this.
Bring several options.
NO graphic tees, large logos, or bright colors.

Avoid:
Bright or bold colors (no neon, no crisp whites, no striking reds).

MOM & DAUGHTER AT BIRTHDAY PARTY (2001)
OVERALL VIBE:
We’re setting the scene at a casual backyard birthday party in 2001. It’s summer in Miami, kids running wild, and parents trying to keep it together in the heat. Think simple, family-friendly, everyday wear with that late '90s/early 2000s vibe. Nothing trendy or fashion-forward—just classic, relatable, and true to the time. The mom should feel effortlessly put-together, with practical summer pieces, and the daughter should look like she’s ready for cake and party games.
WARDROBE SUGGESTIONS:
MOM:
Mid-rise straight leg jeans, denim shorts (light or medium wash), capri pants or chinos
Simple, fitted T-shirts or sleeveless tanks (ribbed or baby tee style)
Button-up blouses or peasant tops (floral, subtle plaid, or soft solids)
Casual summer dresses (spaghetti straps, floral prints, empire waist)
Flat sandals, chunky sneakers (think early Skechers), or canvas slip-ons
Simple jewelry—small hoop earrings, a delicate necklace, watch
DAUGHTER:
Short overalls or classic denim shorts
Ribbed or ringer-style T-shirts in fun colors
Cotton sundresses or skirts with tanks
Jelly sandals, platform sneakers (like early Skechers or Keds), or Velcro sandals
Accessories like friendship bracelets or colorful hair ties
AVOID:
Any black, bright white, neon, or candy apple red
Graphic tees, character prints, or bold brand logos
Trendy cuts like crop tops, ripped jeans, or modern athletic wear
Heels, boots, or overly dressy shoes
Sleek, modern hairstyles or heavy makeup (keep it natural and era-authentic)
HAIR NOTES:
We will not rehire people that do not follow makeup/hair notes
Please arrive CAMERA READY with your hair clean, dry, and STYLED NICELY to fit your look! Your hairstyle should match the vibe created by your wardrobe options (as described above)!

You’re portraying a Russian thug—think sharp, tailored, and stylish, with a dark, commanding color palette (not all black). Please bring clean, pressed options in line with the following guidelines:

Layered looks with hoodies, base layer shirts/sleeves under tees, or light jackets that feel true to the industrial aesthetic
Color Palette:
Muted industrial tones — charcoal, navy, gray, khaki, olive, rust, faded denim

Date Specific Notes :
We are filming two parts of a modern-day residential neighborhood sequence in Miami — one during the day, one at night. You will be portraying everyday neighbors engaged in casual, real-life moments: walking outside, running errands, taking out the trash, etc.
You will appear in two separate costume changes across the following scenes:
Day 5 | Scene 13, 14 = Costume Change 1
Night 6 | Scene 31, 32, 33, 34 = Costume Change 2
The night look should be a simple, logical variation of your day look — such as adding a light outer layer (e.g., hoodie, zip-up, lightweight jacket, or long-sleeve shirt) that feels appropriate for stepping outside in the evening.
WARDROBE INSTRUCTIONS
ARRIVE dressed in your best day look, camera-ready with hair and makeup done
Bring 3 full alternate wardrobe options, each complete with shoes and accessories
Include clearly designated pieces for your night look and second costume change
All clothing must be clean, pressed, and fully accessorized
Proper undergarments are required
Do not arrive empty-handed
SUGGESTED WARDROBE ITEMS:
Day Look (Costume Change 1):
Casual tops: basic tees, polos, short-sleeve button-downs
Relaxed jeans, joggers, shorts, casual pants
Casual dresses or simple skirts
Clean sneakers, sandals, or flats
Accessories: sunglasses, watch, hat, casual bag
Night Look (Costume Change 2):
Same base outfit as your day look
For your second look, simply add or remove a light outer layer from your first outfit — such as a hoodie, lightweight jacket, flannel, or long-sleeve button-up — to create a distinct change without needing a full costume change or dressing room
Footwear should remain casual and consistent — no boots, heels, or fashion shoes
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR:
Bright white or solid all-black outfits
Neon colors, loud prints, reflective fabrics
Large logos or graphic tees
Clubwear, dressy night-out outfits, or fashion-forward styling
Business or formal wear
High heels or overly trendy shoes
Anything with political messages or slogan text
Flashy branding or distracting accessories
Thank you for your ongoing professionalism. We appreciate your care in helping M.I.A. feel authentic and grounded.
HAIR NOTES:
We will not rehire people that do not follow makeup/hair notes
Please arrive CAMERA READY with your hair clean, dry, and STYLED NICELY to fit your look! Your hairstyle should match the vibe created by your wardrobe options (as described above)!
MAKEUP NOTES:
We will not rehire people that do not follow makeup/hair notes
Please arrive CAMERA READY with your makeup ALREADY DONE! Please also bring your makeup with you for any touchups you’ll need during the filming process! Your makeup should match the vibe created by your wardrobe options (as described above)!

Please remember and bring everything we asked of you during your fitting — undergarments, accessories, hairstyle reminders, shoes, etc. We appreciate your attention to detail and consistency for camera.
Dive Bar Waitress (2001 Scene):
Dive Bar Waitress (2001):
You're the waitress working the floor in a Key Largo dive bar in the summer of 2001. You’ve been on your feet all night — taking orders, dodging drunk locals, and somehow managing to keep your cool in the Florida heat. Your look should feel effortless, sexy without trying, and absolutely period-appropriate.
The vibe is “Florida Keys meets late-'90s grunge-lite” with just a hint of Dukes of Hazzard charm. You’re not polished — you’re cool, gritty, a little sweaty, and completely confident in your own skin.
Wardrobe Suggestions:
Please bring 5 full head-to-toe options that feel authentic to the late 90s/early 2000s time period. Your clothing should feel worn-in, slightly edgy, and appropriate for working in a bar, not partying in one.
Tops:
Thin, stringy vintage tanks
Ribbed camisoles or crop tops
Halter tops, spaghetti straps, or fitted baby tees
Think vintage Roxy, Wet Seal, or Bebe style (but NO modern logos)
Bottoms:
Low-rise shorts or hip hugger denim
Fitted bootcut or capri jeans
Stretchy miniskirts or skorts (90s style)
Avoid overly trendy cuts — we want the shape and style that feels pulled from 1999, not 2025
Shoes:
Thong sandals, wedge flip-flops, or broken-in sneakers
If you have vintage-style Rocket Dog sandals or platform flip-flops, bring them!
Jewelry & Accessories:
Layer it on! Big hoop earrings, thin silver or gold chains, chokers, mood rings, anklets
Hair clips, scrunchies, claw clips, messy ponytails
Avoid:
Modern labels, athletic wear, or current fashion trends
Bright whites, candy apple red, neon, or graphic tees with large logos
Anything that feels overly clean, crisp, or styled
Textures & Colors:
Soft cotton, ribbed knits, vintage jersey
Faded tones, tropical neutrals, dusty pastels, rusty reds, navy, washed black
Keep it grounded — your look should blend seamlessly into a hot, gritty dive bar on a summer night
Final Notes:
Your look should tell the story of someone who's worked in this bar for years. You know everyone, you're sharp, quick on your feet, and completely unfazed by the chaos around you. You’re not dressed to impress — you’re dressed to survive the night shift with style.
Dive Bar Patrons (2001 Scene):
You're locals in a no-frills dive bar in Key Largo, Florida, circa summer 2001. This is a hot, sweaty, easy-going hangout spot for people who’ve lived here forever — fishermen, boat mechanics, waitresses, weekend warriors, and beach-stained regulars.
This scene is relaxed, gritty, and authentically late 1990s Florida Keys. Think: a jukebox in the corner, beer specials written in chalk, someone playing pool, locals dancing to Jimmy Buffett or Sublime.
To really sell the time period and location, lean into the following Key Largo-specific style details:
Women (Dive Bar – 2001):
Tops: Ribbed tanks, baby tees, spaghetti straps, halter tops, tropical or floral print tops, or slouchy button-downs tied at the waist
Bottoms: Low-rise jeans, cutoff shorts, board shorts, cargo skirts, cotton capris
Shoes: Sandals, flip-flops, canvas sneakers (like keds or converse)
Accessories: Layered chokers, anklets, mood rings, shell necklaces, hoop earrings
Outerwear: Light denim jackets, beach cover-ups, oversized flannel shirts
Color Palette: Sun-faded brights, beachy pastels (coral, butter yellow, baby blue), muted tones like olive, khaki, sand
Textures: Lightweight cotton, worn denim, linen blends
Men (Dive Bar – 2001):
Tops: Vintage tees (no logos or graphics), open Hawaiian shirts, ribbed tanks, pocket tees, bowling shirts, or casual button-ups
Bottoms: Straight leg Levi denim or jeans, cutoff denim, faded cargo shorts, Dickies-style work pants, board shorts
Shoes: Flip flops, old boat shoes, chunky 90s sneakers, classic converse, worn work boots or cowboy boots (vintage)
Accessories: Leather necklaces, thin silver chains, braided bracelets, canvas belts, baseball caps (broken-in), wraparound sunglasses, beat-up wallets on chains
Outerwear: Unbuttoned flannel shirts, denim jackets, sun-faded windbreakers
Color Palette: Earth tones, beachy hues (faded teal, rust, mustard, navy), worn-out brights, sun-bleached neutrals
Mood & Vibe (Dive Bar):
This is not a tourist scene — it’s locals-only. Your clothes should feel lived-in and personal, not styled. Like you’ve owned that shirt since ’94 and it still does the trick. Everything should be comfortable, breathable, a little sweaty, and absolutely not trendy.
Avoid:
Athleisure, yoga pants, fitted joggers
Anything obviously purchased in the last few years
Overly polished or coordinated outfits
Time Period Reminder:
This is summer 2001, and the style should reflect a late 90s Florida Keys dive bar vibe — NOT South Beach glamour or modern-day resortwear.
Thank you for helping us build a world that feels real, lived-in, and totally Key Largo. We can’t wait to see what you bring — let’s make this bar feel alive.
HAIR NOTES:
We will not rehire people that do not follow makeup/hair notes
Please arrive CAMERA READY with your hair clean, dry, and STYLED NICELY to fit your look! Your hairstyle should match the vibe created by your wardrobe options (as described above)!
MAKEUP NOTES:

Date Specific Notes :
Please Avoid:
NO bright whites, neon colors, or modern/high-contrast patterns (e.g. tight stripes, polka dots, gingham)
NO visible logos, sports team gear, or large graphic tees
NO current-day fashion brands or trends — we are filming a scene set in SUMMER 2001, and everything should feel accurate to that time period
All Talent:
Come dressed in your favorite complete head-to-toe look that feels appropriate for the scene described below — something you feel confident in and that matches the time period.
Bring an additional 4 full head-to-toe options (clean and camera-ready).
If you have tattoos, please bring clothing that fully covers them. We cannot feature tattoos without prior approval. If you have designed your tattoos or know the artist and could get a release signed, reach out to Heather from casting. We will need the signed release in order to show your tattoos.
Fishermen:
You’ll be portraying fishermen returning from a long, hot day at sea. You’re salty, sun-worn, and have spent hours under the blazing sun. Your look should reflect a day of hard work — function over fashion.
Wardrobe Suggestions:
Sun-faded tees, tank tops, or short-sleeve button-ups
Lightweight long-sleeve fishing shirts
Cargo or utility shorts, washed 90's straight leg denim, weathered khakis
Broken-in baseball caps, trucker hats, bucket hats, visors
Deck shoes, old 90's sneakers, sandals (no modern logos or flashy brands, keep it classic)
Belts and accessories — many men tucked in shirts during this era, so please complete your look
Color Palette:
Sun-bleached neutrals, pastels, tropical hues, faded blues, washed-out greens, khaki, tan
Fabrics should feel worn-in and breathable — cotton, canvas, linen blends
Optional Accessories (if you own):
90's/Y2K sunglasses, bandanas, appropriate watches (NO CELL PHONES OR APPLE WATCHES)
Boaters / Tourists:
You’re coming in from a casual summer day at sea — hot, slightly windblown, and sun-kissed. You may be a local or a visitor enjoying the Florida sunshine, but either way, your outfit should reflect a practical, relaxed, early 2000s/late '90s coastal style. This look is not sleek and modern — think slightly kitschy, laid-back, and effortlessly summery.
Florida Tourist Style in 1990s–Early 2000s:
For Women:
Low-rise shorts or skirts, board shorts, or cotton capris
Spaghetti-strap tank tops, halter tops, cropped tees, or ribbed knit tops
Sarongs, mesh cover ups, tropical print dresses
Flip-flops, slip-on sandals, canvas ked-like sneakers, boat shoes
Straw visors, shell jewelry, scrunchies, 90's/Y2K sunglasses
Tropical pastels, sun-faded brights, beachy prints, hibiscus prints, gradient tie-dye, baby blue, coral, butter yellow
For Men:
Tank tops, ribbed undershirts (worn as outerwear), short-sleeve Hawaiian shirts
Loose cargo shorts, denim shorts, drawstring beach pants, swim trunks
Canvas broken in baseball hats, trucker hats, bucket hats, wraparound sunglasses (Oakley-style), sporty wristwatches
Popular colors included burnt orange, hunter green, navy, and tropical florals
Deck shoes, 90's chunky sneaker with tube socks pushed down, flip flops (no modern logos or flashy brands, keep it classic)
Time Period Reminder:
The year is 2001 — think early Y2K and late '90s, not present-day styles. Avoid anything that looks too current, trendy, or overly polished. We want authenticity — something that feels like it came from a closet in 1999, not a modern-day online cart.
MOOD + INSPIRATION BOARDS: *Remember to stay clear of GRAPHICS and LARGE LOGOS*

We will not rehire people that do not follow makeup/hair notes
Please arrive CAMERA READY with your hair clean, dry, and STYLED NICELY to fit your look! Your hairstyle should match the vibe created by your wardrobe options (as described above)!
