General Guidelines for All Background Actors:

  • No graphic tees, large logos, or visible brand names.

  • No bright colors or patterns. Stick to a neutral, muted tropical Miami summer palette.

  • Always bring multiple wardrobe options that fit the notes for your category.

  • Come with your hair and makeup styled appropriately for your role.

PERPETRATORS / SUSPECTS

  • Create a character: Think about why you’re at the station — are you a petty thief, a white-collar criminal, a gang member, a club goer caught with drugs, a dirty beach bum, or someone wrongly accused? Let your wardrobe reflect this.

  • Bring several options.

  • NO graphic tees, large logos, or bright colors.

  • Keep the look clean and authoritative, but not overly formal. Think seasoned professionals.

OFFICE STAFF

  • Most have been prefit. If you haven’t:

    • Neutral tones: grey, beige, soft blues, greens, navy, think washed out tropical palette.

  • Avoid flashy accessories or bold prints.

IF YOU ARRIVE LATE - YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE TURNED AWAY WITHOUT PAY!!! You need to let us know IMMEDIATELY if you are running behind for any reason. COMMUNICATION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

Call times are NOT negotiable - THEY ARE MANDATORY.

Call times are decided with extremely specific factors in mind to make sure every department’s needs are accommodated and you are ready to walk on camera as soon as you are needed on set.

Arriving late (without a legitimate excuse) puts the entire production behind schedule and is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
