1969 All Background Roles
Please bring clothing options that will cover your tattoos (if you have any).
Season for all 1969 Scene - WINTER/COLD (layers and coats) - Concord, CA
Background Performers should bring any 1969 inspired clothing, women’s dresses, men’s suits, coats and shoes. LIMIT 3 outfits options
If you do not have any 1969 inspired clothing, at the bare minimum you should bring a pair of non-descript black, brown or nude dress shoes or flats.

🎞️ 1960s Background Talent Hair Guidelines
General Rules (All Talent)
• No Modern Coloring: Absolutely no "fantasy" colors (pink, blue, etc.), visible "money piece" highlights, or harsh ombré. Hair should appear as a solid, natural tone or subtle, traditional highlights.
• Zero Frizz: Unlike the 80s, the 60s were about smoothness. Even high-volume hair should look brushed through and polished.
• Hide the Tech: Avoid "beach waves" or piecey, textured styles created by modern flat irons.
Women’s Styling
The silhouette of the 60s is either perfectly round (the beehive) or flipped out.
• The Prep: Please arrive with hair set in large rollers for maximum body and "lift" at the roots.
• The "Flip": For shoulder-length hair, the ends should be curled upward/outward.
• Teasing/Backcombing: Be prepared to tease the crown of your head to achieve a "bouffant" shape.
• Bangs: Thick, straight-across bangs or deep side-swept bangs are very period-accurate.
• The Pixie: If you have short hair, style it sleek and close to the head (think Twiggy).
• Accessories: Solid-colored headbands (placed an inch or two back from the hairline) and hair ribbons are encouraged.
Men’s Styling
Men’s hair moved from the "Greaser" look of the 50s into the "Mod" look of the mid-60s.
• The "Executive" Look: For an early 60s look, arrive with a clean side part styled with pomade (slight shine is okay).
• The "Beatle" Look: For a mid-to-late 60s look, hair should be longer, covering the ears and forehead, styled forward rather than swept back.
• No Fades: Avoid modern "high and tight" fades or buzzed designs. Hair on the sides and back should have enough length to be combed.
