ATLANTA POLICE DEPARTMENT (APD) – ADMIN, DETECTIVES & OFFICERS
These roles represent members of the Atlanta Police Department, so everyone should arrive looking professional, polished, and well-groomed.
Please arrive camera ready following the guidelines below.
HAIR
• Hair should be clean, dry, and neatly styled when you arrive
• Professional hairstyles are preferred
• Avoid messy or overly styled looks
• Hair should look appropriate for a law enforcement professional
Examples include:
• Clean short cuts
• Neatly styled longer hair
• Controlled ponytails or buns if applicable
FACIAL HAIR (MEN)
• Clean shaven is preferred
OR
• If you have an established facial hair look, it must be very neatly groomed and professional (well-trimmed beard or mustache)
🚫 Avoid:
• Scruffy or uneven facial hair
• Recently grown stubble that looks unintentional
MAKEUP
• Natural, everyday makeup only
• Light foundation, neutral tones, and light mascara are acceptable
• Keep the look clean and professional

• Dramatic lashes
• Heavy glam makeup
• Glitter or shimmer products
