🎬 MIAMI VICE IS COMING HOME.

Casting TaylorMade (Casting™) is incredibly excited to announce that we will be casting background and specialty talent for the upcoming Miami Vice movie filming right here in MIAMI. 🌴🔥

👗 COSTUME FITTINGS WILL BEGIN EARLY.

We expect to begin costume fittings at the end of October / beginning of November, so we are starting to build our casting pool NOW.

Filming is expected to take place during select weeks in December, throughout January, and into February.

And because this is a 1980s PERIOD PIECE, we need your help starting NOW.

MEN

Please STOP cutting your hair and let it grow out naturally.

Longer hair gives our Hair & Makeup team much more to work with for authentic 1980s Miami looks.

Also:

Let the mustaches grow.
Let the sideburns grow.
Let the facial hair grow.

We can always adjust it later if needed, but we would much rather have MORE to work with than less.

WOMEN

For women, shorter hair is actually ideal for many of the looks we’ll be creating.

If you already have a shorter cut, bob, layered cut, or naturally period-friendly hairstyle, that is a major plus.

And if you’ve been thinking about going shorter for winter or taking your hair extensions out…

NOW IS THE MOMENT. ✂️✨

The more natural your hair is, the more flexibility our Hair & Makeup team has to create authentic 1980s Miami looks.

So the easy version:

Your actual profession or experience may be exactly what we need for a specific scene.

That may include things like:

We will also be looking for period vehicles, classic cars, luxury cars and exotic cars from the era.

If you own a vehicle from roughly 1960–1989, especially something distinctive or period-appropriate, please tell us about it in the form.

👗 COSTUME / WARDROBE COMFORT

Because this is a 1980s Miami period production, wardrobe will be a huge part of bringing the world to life. Let us know how you feel about BATHING SUITS!

🎬 PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED

If you have prior film, television, commercial, print or background experience, tell us.

But if you have never worked on a set before, that is completely okay too.

You do NOT need previous background experience to submit.

We are looking for authentic people, personalities, skills and real Miami energy.

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING WHAT A FILMING DAY / TIME COMMITMENT IS LIKE…
FILMING DAY + CALL-TIME INFORMATION

If you are new to film work, please know that filming days are typically around 12 hours. Sometimes they are shorter, and occasionally they may run a little longer (hopefully, usually NOT).
If you are with us the whole day we feed you delicious food (you do not need to bring food with you).

Your exact call time will NEVER be available until the day before filming.
Any earlier time estimates are only approximate and may change.
This is because each day we will film (start and end) sets the start times for the following days to come.

PLEASE ONLY MARK YOURSELF AVAILABLE IF:

You have complete availability for the entire filming date
You can work approximately 12 hours if needed
You do not have plans that require you to leave at a specific time on a day you apply for

Once booked, THE DAY BEFORE EACH FILMING DATE YOU HAVE BEEN BOOKED FOR
Casting TaylorMade will send your final call time, parking, check-in, wardrobe and reporting details the day before filming.

Just because this casting call is now live does not mean booking has started or that you should expect to hear from us right away.

We expect to begin booking our first talent within the next few weeks, not immediately.

We wanted to open the casting early so you have plenty of time to submit, prepare your hair, gather accurate measurements, tell us about your skills and experience, and be ready when booking begins.

So please don’t worry if you do not hear from us right away. This is the beginning of the casting process. 🌴🎬

💰 RATES

FILMING RATE:
$212 / 12 HOURS
*this is the general rate some roles that require special skill sets or featured director selected roles will very likely receive a slightly higher rate

FITTING RATE:
$50 / 3 HOURS
Please plan to be available for the full 3-hour fitting window, although fittings may take less time.

🚗 VINTAGE VEHICLE BUMP RATES

If your vehicle is selected and used for filming, an additional vintage vehicle bump will apply:

Approx. 1960–1967: +$250
Approx. 1968–1989: +$200

Vehicle bumps are paid in addition to your filming rate.
