🎬 NOW CASTING MINORS — CHALLENGER (LIMITED SERIES)
👧🏽👦🏼 ATLANTA KIDS — IT'S YOUR TURN!
Casting TaylorMade is now accepting submissions for CHILDREN + TEENS to work as paid background performers on CHALLENGER, a new limited series filming in Atlanta, GA.
We will be casting minors for select scenes throughout the production and are excited to start building our pool of younger performers who can help us authentically bring the 1970s and 1980s to life.
We encourage parents to submit their children for consideration, even if they have no previous acting or on-set experience. We're looking for a variety of ages, looks and personalities to give us plenty of great options when matching children to the specific needs of each scene.
🗓️ BLOCK 1 FILMING DATES
September 21st – October 29th, 2026
The series will continue filming through February 28th, 2027.
Minors will be cast for select scenes throughout filming and will NOT be needed for every filming date.
For this first block, we currently anticipate most booked minors working 1–2 filming dates.
Please give us your child's overall availability for ALL of the dates listed below, even though they will only be booked for the specific date(s) needed for their scene.
The MORE availability you give us, the MORE opportunities we have to potentially find the right spot for your child!
Please only select dates your child is truly available to work, but don't limit your selections based on which dates you would prefer. We will use the availability you provide to match your child to the scenes and dates where we may need them.
If your child is selected, the Casting TaylorMade team will contact you with the specific role + filming date(s) before booking.
📍 FILMING LOCATION: ATLANTA, GA
Your child must be able to work as a local to Atlanta.
No travel or housing will be provided.
💵 BACKGROUND RATE
$182/10 hrs (filming)
$28/2hrs (fitting)
*Minors will work only the hours legally permitted for their age - which could be less than 10hrs, rate still applied.
🚀 ABOUT CHALLENGER
CHALLENGER is a limited series inspired by the true story of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, exploring the people, ambitions and decisions surrounding America's space program in the years leading up to the 1986 tragedy and its aftermath.
Spanning the 1970s through the late 1980s, the series will recreate everyday life during this era, including families, neighborhoods, schools, community events, airports, celebrations, memorials and crowds.
We're looking for a variety of children and teens to help us authentically bring this world to life!

✂️ HAIR — PLEASE READ!
Because CHALLENGER takes place throughout the 1970s and 1980s, your child's CURRENT HAIR is an important part of our casting process.
If your child is interested in working on the production, please avoid making any major hair changes right now if possible!
Longer, grown-out and natural hair gives our Hair Department much more to work with when creating authentic period looks.
If selected, we may ask whether you are comfortable allowing our Hair Department to make small changes, such as trimming, shaping or styling your child's hair for their specific period look.
Please DO NOT cut or change your child's hair specifically for this production unless Casting TaylorMade asks you to.
The submission form will give you an opportunity to tell us exactly what you ARE and ARE NOT comfortable allowing us to change.

We completely understand that it is MUCH easier for parents to manage casting communication for their children through one parent/guardian email address.
YES — you may use YOUR email address when submitting your child.
The FIRST EMAIL ADDRESS you provide in this form will be the email Casting TaylorMade uses for ALL casting and booking correspondence regarding your child.
Later in the form, we will ask you to provide a SEPARATE EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOUR CHILD.
THIS SECOND EMAIL IS FOR PAYROLL PURPOSES ONLY.
It will be used ONLY for payment/payroll processing and will NOT be used by Casting TaylorMade for casting correspondence.

👗 COSTUME FITTINGS
A costume fitting will be required for minors who are booked for roles requiring a fitting.
📍 Fittings will be held at the studio in Doraville, GA 30360.
Fittings are separate from filming days and are typically scheduled in advance of your child's filming date.
If your child is selected, we will send you a fitting sign-up link with the available dates and times.
Costumes may also ask your child to bring certain clothing, shoes and/or accessories from home to help complete their period look.

🎭 WHAT TYPES OF ROLES WILL KIDS PLAY?
Casting TaylorMade will match each child with the role and scene we feel they are best suited for.
Minors will be cast for select scenes throughout filming, including family, community, school-age and larger crowd scenes.
Throughout the production, we may be looking for children and teens to portray:

There is no need to choose a specific role when submitting.

If your child works on 9/21, they MUST also be available to work on 10/1.
These are matching scenes, so availability for BOTH dates is critically important.

PLEASE NOTE: We are collecting your child's availability across the entire Block 1 schedule so we know which children are available as we build each scene.
This does NOT mean your child would work all of the dates selected. Most booked minors are currently anticipated to work 1–2 filming dates during this block.
Filming is not always Monday–Friday and includes Sundays 9/27 and 10/4. Please review the specific dates carefully when submitting availability.
🎬 GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR (GDOL) — MINOR REGISTRATION
If your child does NOT already have a GDOL Minor Entertainment number, please go to the link below IMMEDIATELY and register them.
Registration is FREE and is required for minors working in entertainment in Georgia.
