You will be portraying campers attending a NASCAR race, so expect to spend the day outdoors enjoying all the excitement of a NASCAR race weekend!
You have been booked to work as Background for our NASCAR camping scenes on Sunday, July 12th.
Think of it as a day at the races! You'll be outdoors surrounded by fellow campers and race fans, so come prepared to stay comfortable and enjoy the experience.
Since you'll be portraying campers, you're welcome and encouraged to bring personal comfort items such as folding camping chairs, coolers, hats, handheld or rechargeable fans, cooling towels, refillable water bottles, snacks, and other reasonable camping gear to help keep you comfortable while waiting between scenes. These items are encouraged both for your comfort throughout the day and because they help create the authentic race weekend camping atmosphere we're bringing to life. Please note that while these items are welcome, not all personal belongings will necessarily be used on camera.
We're excited to have you join us! Please read this email carefully from start to finish, as it contains important information regarding your booking, including where to report, wardrobe requirements, parking instructions, what to bring, and other important details to help your day run smoothly.

Many of the questions we receive on shoot days are answered below. Taking a few minutes to read everything carefully will help your day go as smoothly as possible.
🏁 FILMING DETAILS
You will be portraying campers attending a NASCAR race, so expect to spend the day outdoors enjoying all the excitement of race weekend!
Filming Hours: Approximately 1:00 PM* – 10:00 PM
Location: EchoPark Speedway
*Please plan to arrive at the Credential Building at least 15 minutes before your scheduled call time to complete your credentialing and payroll paperwork. Giving yourself a little extra time will help make your check-in smooth and stress-free. 😊
🍽️ MEALS
Dinner will be provided each day.

🎟️ FIRST STOP: CREDENTIAL BUILDING
EVERYONE MUST REPORT TO THE ECHOPARK SPEEDWAY CREDENTIAL BUILDING FIRST.
This includes anyone working both Saturday and Sunday. You must check in at the Credential Building each day, as your reporting location may be different from the previous day.
At the Credential Building you will:
Receive your credential
Receive a parking map
Receive directions to your filming location

🗺️ PARKING & GPS
Please do not rely on GPS once you arrive at the speedway.
Race weekend creates road closures and traffic patterns that GPS often cannot accurately navigate.
After receiving your credential, you will be given a map and directions to your designated parking area and filming location.
Before leaving the Credential Building, please review your directions carefully and ask any questions you may have. Following the provided directions is the best way to avoid delays or accidentally ending up on a closed roadway.
Since you'll be portraying NASCAR fans enjoying a weekend camping at the speedway, we encourage you to think "Georgia summer camping weekend" when packing for the day. The goal is to look like you're spending a fun weekend outdoors with friends and family, not like you're headed on a serious camping expedition.
👕 WARDROBE
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CLOTHING IS NOT WRINKLED, PLEASE!
You will be portraying campers attending a NASCAR race, so please dress comfortably and appropriately for a summer day outdoors.
Please arrive wearing one complete wardrobe option and also bring at least one (1), preferably two (2), additional complete outfit options. Having multiple looks helps our wardrobe department create variety throughout the day and gives you a fresh change of clothes if your first outfit becomes hot or sweaty.
Please Arrive Wearing & Also Bring:
Casual, logo-free tops (T-shirts, tanks, or other comfortable summer attire)
Shorts (recommended for the July Georgia heat), jeans, or casual pants
Comfortable closed-toe shoes are preferred. Sandals or flip-flops are also acceptable if appropriate for your outfit.
At least one (1), preferably two (2), additional complete outfit options
A complete change of clothes, as you will likely become hot or sweaty throughout the day
Wardrobe Guidelines:
Darker colors and darker neutrals are encouraged, as they help minimize the appearance of sweat during long days outdoors.
Stick with simple, natural, everyday clothing that looks appropriate for a summer day at the races.
Bringing a pair of jeans is encouraged for potential evening scenes when temperatures begin to cool.
Please Avoid:
Visible logos, brand names, or trademarked graphics
Stripes
Busy patterns
Neon colors
Large graphics or distracting designs
Wardrobe will have a limited selection of NASCAR-themed T-shirts and hats available for some background performers to help create an authentic race-day atmosphere.
Please dress modestly and appropriately for a family-friendly event.
The more wardrobe options you bring, the more flexibility our wardrobe team has to create different looks throughout the day while avoiding continuity and brand conflicts. Thank you for helping us create an authentic race-day crowd!
💄 HAIR & MAKEUP
Please arrive with a natural, everyday look appropriate for a fun weekend at the racetrack.
Females
Hair: If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie, clip, or other hair accessories so you can easily pull your hair back if requested by the Hair & Makeup or Wardrobe departments.
Makeup: Please wear natural, everyday makeup. Nothing overly dramatic or glamorous.
Males
Facial Hair: Please arrive looking the same as you did in the submission photo you were booked from.
Please Also Bring:
Deodorant for touch-ups throughout the day
A hairbrush or comb for quick touch-ups
Any personal hair or makeup items you may need during the day
Please Note:Hair & Makeup services will not be provided for background performers. Please arrive camera-ready and prepared to maintain your own appearance throughout the day.
✅ CHECKLIST
Please use the checklist below as you prepare for your filming day. Since you'll be portraying campers enjoying a NASCAR race weekend, you're welcome and encouraged to bring personal comfort items to help you stay comfortable throughout the day.
✅ A folding camping chair if you'd rather not sit on the ground between takes. Production will have a limited number available, but not enough for everyone.
✅ A cooler with your favorite snacks, drinks, or electrolyte beverages. Production will have water and Powerade available, but you're welcome to bring your own refreshments.
✅ A personal handheld or rechargeable fan, cooling towel, or other items to help you stay comfortable in the Georgia summer heat.
✅ A refillable water bottle if you'd like to keep water with you throughout the day.
✅ Sun protection, including a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
✅ Comfortable attire + additional options (1), preferably two (2)
✅ Deodorant, a hairbrush or comb, and any personal hair or makeup items you may need for touch-ups, as Hair & Makeup services will not be provided for background performers.
