💄 HAIR & MAKEUP NOTES

We are portraying working film crew members, including Production Assistants (PAs), Camera Operators, Grip & Electric, Set Dressers, Crafty, Construction/Stage Workers, Wardrobe, and Hair & Makeup professionals.

The overall look should feel natural, realistic, and appropriate for individuals working long hours on an active film set.

HAIR:

• Clean, natural hairstyles are preferred
• Hair should be worn in a practical manner appropriate for a work environment
• Long hair may be worn down or pulled back into a simple ponytail, braid, or bun
• Please avoid overly styled, glamorous, or formal looks
• Avoid excessive hair products, glitter, or fashion-forward styles
• Natural hair textures are encouraged

MAKEUP:

• Women should wear natural, everyday makeup
• Light foundation, mascara, and neutral tones are encouraged
• Keep makeup simple and realistic
• Men should arrive clean-shaven or with their usual well-groomed facial hair
• Please avoid heavy contouring, dramatic eye makeup, false eyelashes, glitter, or bold lip colors
• If you have facial piercings or other visible piercings, please be prepared to remove them unless they are small and subtle
• Please avoid any loud, distracting, or overly modern jewelry and piercings that would draw attention on camera

NAILS:

• Natural nails are preferred
• Neutral polish colors are welcome
• Please avoid extremely long nails, elaborate nail art, rhinestones, or bright/neon colors (if you have this going on send Heather a text so she has a heads up- it is probably fine)

JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES:

• Simple, everyday jewelry is encouraged
• Watches, wedding bands, and subtle accessories are appropriate
• Please avoid large statement jewelry or anything overly flashy

TATTOOS:

• Please make sure all wardrobe options fully cover any visible tattoos whenever possible
• If you have tattoos on your arms, legs, neck, hands, or other visible areas, please bring wardrobe options that provide coverage

The goal is to create the appearance of hardworking professionals behind the scenes of a film production. Think practical, authentic, and understated rather than polished, glamorous, or camera-ready.
