COSTUME NOTES FOR ALL

We are going to have a lot of people and a lot of departments working together, so let’s all help create a comfortable, respectful and lovely working environment for one another.

Every little bit of preparation helps Costumes, Hair, Makeup, Production and your fellow background artists do their jobs more efficiently and helps this incredible show flow as smoothly as possible.

Thank you for helping us take care of each other and our departments. We are all part of making this show happen.

👗 OVERALL COSTUME NOTES:

VERY IMPORTANT / WHAT TO BRING (ANY ITEMS HELP)

🧼 PLEASE ARRIVE FRESHLY BATHED
Out of consideration for our Costume staff, allergies, and the preservation of rented garments, please DO NOT wear perfume or cologne to your fitting.

👕 PLEASE WEAR PROPER UNDERGARMENTS
Please wear the undergarments you plan to wear on your filming day, including bras, T-shirts/undershirts, underwear, etc.
DO NOT arrive at your fitting without underwear and/or a bra, when applicable.

👗 COSTUMES NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Please bring 3–5 complete outfit options, a couple of different shoe options, and accessories so Costumes can put together your look!

This is a modern-day show. Think polished, everyday fall clothing in a nice suburban community: clean, well-fitting and thoughtfully put together. Layers and fall colors are great! No neon colors, visible logos or large graphics. Please use the wardrobe inspiration board below to guide your choices.

Don’t forget the finishing touches! Belts, simple bags, lightweight jackets, cardigans and understated jewelry can help complete an outfit.

Engagement rings and basic everyday jewelry are welcome, but please leave other valuable or sentimental items at home. Avoid anything overly flashy or distracting that you may be asked to remove.

Costumes does not have a stock of clothing available for this scene, so your options are essential! Please bring several choices so the department can make adjustments as needed.

Thank you for helping us bring this community to life! 💛

PICKLEBALL PLAYERS :

HIGH END NEIGHBOR W/ VEHICLE, ADULTS WITH CHILDREN, ICE CREAM PATRONS, DRY CLEANER PATRON

🧥 WHAT TO BRING

Please bring 3–5 complete outfit options, at least two pairs of shoes, and accessories. Think polished, comfortable fall looks for a day in a nice suburban community.

🏓 WARDROBE NOTES — OUTDOOR PICKLEBALL

You’ll be portraying people playing pickleball outside in the fall! Please bring 2–3 complete outfit options that look natural for the activity, along with a couple of pairs of appropriate athletic shoes.

🎨 COLORS + LOGOS

Solid colors are great! Navy, white, cream, gray, olive, forest green, burgundy and muted blues are all useful options. Subtle color combinations can work, too.

Please do your best to bring clothing and shoes with no visible logos. We understand that most athletic wear has branding—a small logo that can easily be covered is okay, but please keep logos small and to a minimum. Avoid large brand names, graphics, slogans and neon colors.

ACCESSORIES + FINISHING TOUCHES

• Simple athletic hats or visors without prominent logos
• Athletic socks
• Simple hair ties or understated athletic headbands

Keep jewelry minimal and suitable for playing sports. Please leave valuable or sentimental accessories at home. Engagement rings and basic everyday jewelry are welcome.
