Hi! I made a tiny little mistake — honestly, I’m shocked I haven’t made more yet lol 😂
I realized I’m a few people short for our JSC Personnel role this Sunday, 9/27, and we could really use your help so Costumes and I can remain besties.
FILMING: Sunday 9/27
CALL TIME: approximately 7:30 AM
LOCATION: Midtown Atlanta
Even better: if we book you for JSC Personnel or Female Astronaut Trainee, you can 100% work with us again on Sunday 10/4, and this is a role we’ll be using on additional dates throughout the season. So this is definitely not a one-time opportunity! 🚀
We are specifically looking for people who can help provide some of their own wardrobe options for the role. Costumes will still need to fit/check you before you go to camera, but these fittings usually take around an hour, so having the right wardrobe pieces with you will help us tremendously.

Please tell me if you are so I don’t accidentally screw anything up. I believe most of you are not currently booked, or may have just worked the Airport with us, but please correct me if I’m wrong!

And this is NOT a giant cattle-call day. We’re specifically trying to fill a few remaining JSC spots with the right people.

Please look carefully at the reference photos below and let us know if you own clothing that is similar in style, color and overall look.
You do not need to own the exact outfit pictured. We are simply looking for pieces that can help us create the correct 1980s JSC / NASA personnel look.
If booked, please be prepared to bring multiple wardrobe options with you. Costumes will review everything, make the final selections and fit you before you go to camera.

Longer, grown-out, natural hair gives our Hair & Makeup team much more to work with when creating authentic 1970s and 1980s looks.
For men, we are NOT looking for full beards for these upcoming looks. Mustaches are great, so please feel free to let those grow, and longer sideburns are also a major plus for the period.
There are A LOT of different types of roles we’ll be casting throughout this production, and if your hair and facial hair work for the period and what Production needs, we will absolutely keep you in mind.
And no need to text us asking if we saw your submission — we see you. 😉 We review your submissions and photos carefully and will reach out when we have the right fit for you.

CHALLENGER is a limited series inspired by the true story of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, exploring the people, ambitions and decisions surrounding America’s space program in the years leading up to the 1986 tragedy and its aftermath.
Spanning the 1970s through the late 1980s, the series is set against a transformative era in American history, from the evolution of NASA and the Space Shuttle program to the culture, fashion and everyday life of the period.
Casting TaylorMade is seeking MANY different types of background performers to help us tell this story as authentically and historically accurately as possible.
And you know how much we LOVE creating an 1980s world! We’re bringing it 110% for this production, and we’d love your help making this world as authentic as possible.
