🎬 ROLES - MISSION CONTROL
(RUSH CALL) featured roles…
Due to the rain, Production’s filming schedule has shifted significantly this week, and we are now casting additional background for Tuesday, October 6th at Assembly Studios.
These scenes are what Production calls a WEATHER COVER. They will be filming indoors in place of scenes that were originally scheduled to film outside.
THESE ARE NOT THROWAWAY ROLES (THEY WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO FILM UNTIL NOVEMBER 20th)
Even though we are casting this on a very fast turnaround, these are really cool roles and we do not want them treated like an afterthought.
We always expected to have much more time to cast these scenes, and we still want to give them the same care and attention as the other special roles we have been casting throughout the project.
These will be more featured-type background roles, and some people may also be selected on the filming day for additional featured moments, which may include an additional pay bump.
We want our best people here for this.
WHY THIS ONE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT
This is actually a really exciting opportunity because NO PRE-FITTING IS REQUIRED for these roles.
That means if you live outside the immediate Atlanta area but are still within reasonable driving distance, this may be a great opportunity for you to submit.
These are LOCAL HIRE roles. Please only submit if you are able to get yourself to Assembly Studios for filming.
Please do not contact us asking about hotel accommodations, travel arrangements, or lodging. We truly do not have the bandwidth to coordinate or answer those questions for this rush call. We simply wanted to make sure those of you who are usually limited by the pre-fitting requirement know that this particular booking may be possible for you because no advance fitting is needed.
If you can realistically make the drive, are fully available, and are serious about working, we would love to see your submission.
PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT IF YOU ARE SERIOUS
Because this is a rush call, we need people who are genuinely available and ready to work.
Submitting does NOT automatically mean you are booked, but if your look is right for what Production needs, there is a strong possibility we may move quickly to book you.
Please do not submit just to “see what happens” if you are not truly available for Tuesday.

Longer, grown-out, natural hair gives our Hair & Makeup team much more to work with when creating authentic 1970s and 1980s looks.
For men, we are NOT looking for full beards for these upcoming looks. Mustaches are great, so please feel free to let those grow, and longer sideburns are also a major plus for the period.
There are A LOT of different types of roles we’ll be casting throughout this production, and if your hair and facial hair work for the period and what Production needs, we will absolutely keep you in mind.

CHALLENGER is a limited series inspired by the true story of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, exploring the people, ambitions and decisions surrounding America’s space program in the years leading up to the 1986 tragedy and its aftermath.
Spanning the 1970s through the late 1980s, the series is set against a transformative era in American history, from the evolution of NASA and the Space Shuttle program to the culture, fashion and everyday life of the period.
Casting TaylorMade is seeking MANY different types of background performers to help us tell this story as authentically and historically accurately as possible.
And you know how much we LOVE creating an 1980s world! We’re bringing it 110% for this production, and we’d love your help making this world as authentic as possible.
