🎓 Wardrobe Notes — Graduate Student Look
Overall Look:
Think modern university grad students — casually put-together, intelligent, approachable. Clothing should feel lived-in and comfortable, but still intentional. No overly trendy pieces or anything flashy.
🧥 Bring Options:
Please bring 2–3 complete outfit options (mix and match is fine).
Include different top layers (like a sweater or light jacket) in case wardrobe needs flexibility.
⚠️ Please remember: the costume department will not have backup wardrobe for you. We are depending on you to bring options.
⸻
✅ Do Wear:
• Solid or lightly patterned tops — button-downs, polos, casual blouses, lightweight sweaters, or henleys.
• Layers such as light jackets, cardigans, vests (solid colors or subtle textures).
• Bottoms: jeans, chinos, corduroys, or casual trousers (no rips or heavy distressing).
• Shoes: clean sneakers, flats, loafers, or casual boots (no high heels or athletic trainers).
• Accessories: simple watches, glasses, subtle jewelry, scarves, or beanies (optional).
• Bag: a backpack, messenger bag, or tote to help sell the university vibe.
⸻
🚫 Do NOT Wear:
• Shirts or tops with words, large logos, or graphic prints.
• Solid white or black tops (unless layered under another piece).
• Loud neon colors, sequins, or anything that draws too much attention.
• Business attire, suits, or formal dresses.

💇♀️ Hair & Makeup Notes — Graduate Student Look
Overall Direction:
Natural, intelligent, and effortless — like a real grad student heading to class or studying on campus. Avoid anything overly styled, glam, or polished. Think “put-together without trying too hard.”
⸻
HAIR & FACIAL HAIR — GENERAL NOTES
• Hair should look clean, natural, and realistic to a college environment.
• Light styling only: soft waves, loose curls, natural texture, or a simple ponytail/bun.
• Avoid strong curls, tight updos, or heavily shellacked hair.
• Men: clean shaven faces
⸻
MAKEUP — GENERAL NOTES
• Keep it light, fresh, and natural.
• Skin should look healthy and hydrated — not overly matte or contoured.
• A bit of concealer, light foundation or tinted moisturizer, soft blush, and mascara is perfect.
• Natural brows and lips — no bold liner or heavy lipstick. A tinted balm or nude gloss works best.
• Avoid fake lashes, dramatic eyeliner, or glitter/shimmer finishes.
FILMING CONFIRMATION
As always, we are counting on you to show up ON TIME, in the CORRECT WARDROBE, hair CAMERA READY, makeup CAMERA READY, and a GREAT ATTITUDE. Have fun!
